EcoFlow Power Kits: Smart Distribution Panel
A New Way to Wire a Reliable Power System
Smart Distribution Panel: Evolving Mobile Power
Wiring is frustrating and tedious, EcoFlow’s Smart Distribution Panel, a component of their new Power Kits, addresses this issue with poise and grace. The Smart Distribution Panel is more than just circuit protection; it communicates with the other components to provide real time information to the system. Most notably, the six smart DC circuits in the panel that have remote control ability. Yes, you have the ability to control each of these circuits remotely through the Power Kit Console display or the EcoFlow smart phone application. You can also see in real-time the draw from each of these “Smart Circuits.” EcoFlow utilizes a rare method of combining 12V and 110V power distribution. This distribution panel allows you to cut down severely on the clutter of having extra components and unnecessary wiring.
Simple While Being State of the Art
Imagine running all of your electrical wiring to one centralized location, stripping the wires, sliding the provided ferrules on the ends, crimping the connector down with the included tool, plugging the wire into the correct current in your distribution box, and locking it down with the in-panel wire lever-locking system. It is this simple to wire all of your outputs into the Smart Distribution Panel. Worried about the wiring mess to the panel? No need - you can run all of the wiring through one of the several access points in the panel, including two that are on the rear of the unit, and six around the sides and bottom.
It is also extremely easy to connect your inputs to the Smart Distribution Panel, with a total of five screws you can connect your AC and DC currents directly to the panel with the provided cables that have the correct eyelets pre-installed. Each 12V DC circuit has LED lights that indicate there is power going to each circuit. The panel also includes LEDs in the panel for each of the currents, indicating if there is power to each respective current. The Smart Distribution Panel has two covers to enclose the internal components; the top cover is an easy access panel for access to the fuses, breakers and for visibility of the LED indicators. The lower cover hides all of the wiring and connection points, making for a very clean and professional presentation.
The simplicity of this idea combined with excellent development has left us wondering why someone hasn't ever done this before. This system integrated into your van build or tiny home will leave you with peace of mind and the ability to expand in the future. The Mobile Power Revolution has begun!
